SERTIFIKASI HALAL PRODUK DAN PROSES PRODUKSI OLAHAN MAKANAN RUMAH TANGGA (studi kasus pada olahan kue Kak Mai di Desa Sebayan Kecamatan Sambas )
Abstract
Currently, many people do business by producing various types of processed food products. Currently, there are more and more processed food products, so business actors must pay more attention to purchasing raw materials and the process of making the processed food they produce. Halal is an important requirement for Muslim communities when consuming food. This is regulated in the Al-Qur'an surah Al-Baqarah verse 168, which recommends consuming halal and thoyib food.
This research uses qualitative research. This research is used directly with respondents with the aim of intensively studying the background of the current situation, social environment, individuals, groups, institutions or society. The type of research carried out by the author is field research using qualitative methods, while the data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation.
Sebayan Village is one of the villages known to the public as the village that has the most household processing industries among other villages in Sambas District, because Sebayan Village is close to the educational environment (schools and campuses). In 2023, it will be known that in Sebayan Village there will be food business actors who have been producing for many years, and already have or are registered with halal certification.
Halal certification is a process carried out to provide certainty of halal status. A halal certificate is a written fatwa from the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) issued by BPJPH which states that a product is halal in accordance with Islamic law. The parties involved in the halal certification process are the Halal Product Guarantee Organizing Agency (BPJPH), the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Assessment Institute (LPPOM MUI) which is the Halal Inspection Institution (LPH) and the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI).
