Efektivitas Konseling Kelompok Berbasis Nilai-Nilai Islam dalam Meningkatkan Kesadaran Kesetaraan Gender pada Siswa Madrasah Aliyah
Abstract
The background of this study is based on the still low level of adolescents' understanding of gender equality concepts aligned with Islamic teachings, thus requiring contextual and religiously grounded guidance and counseling interventions. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of group counseling based on Islamic values in increasing gender equality awareness among Madrasah Aliyah students. This research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest model. The research subjects consist of Madrasah Aliyah students selected through purposive sampling. The instrument used is a gender equality awareness scale that has been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis techniques involve statistical tests to determine differences in scores before and after the intervention. The results of the study indicate a significant increase in students' gender equality awareness after participating in group counseling services based on Islamic values. This finding demonstrates that the intervention is effective in helping students understand gender equality concepts in a more proportional manner in accordance with Islamic teachings. This study implies that group counseling based on Islamic values can serve as an alternative guidance and counseling service in Madrasah Aliyah to foster fair and equitable attitudes between male and female students.
