PERAN GURU DALAM PENGENALAN MAKANAN BERGIZI SEIMBANG PADA ANAK USIA 5-6 TAHUN KELAS B4 DI TK ISLAM SULTHONIYAH SAMBAS TAHUN PELAJARAN 2024-2025
Abstract
This study aims to describe the role of teachers in introducing balanced nutrition to children aged 5–6 years in Class B4 of Sulthoniyah Islamic Kindergarten, Sambas, Academic Year 2024–2025. The background of this study is based on the importance of fulfilling balanced nutritional needs during the golden age, as well as the phenomenon that students’ lunch boxes are still found not to meet the principles of balanced nutrition. This study employed a qualitative approach with a phenomenological design. The research subjects consisted of one classroom teacher, the school principal, and students of Class B4. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with validity testing using technique triangulation and member checking. The results of the study indicate that: (1) teacher planning is carried out through the preparation of semester programs and Daily Lesson Plans (RPPH) integrated with learning themes; (2) implementation is conducted through question-and-answer methods, singing, storytelling, demonstrations, the use of visual media, and habituation of bringing healthy meals; (3) validation is carried out through learning reflection, simple evaluation, and collaboration with parents and health workers. These findings confirm that teachers play roles as planners, facilitators, motivators, and evaluators in shaping healthy eating habits among early childhood learners.
