Publication Ethics
The following statement is based on Elsevier's recommendations and COPE Best Practices Guidelines for Journal Editor.
Tarbiya Islamica; Journal of Islamic Teacher Training and Education and Its Publishers, FACULTY OF TARBIYAH AND DISCIPLINE SCIENCE Sultan Muhammad Syafiuddin Sambas Islamic Institute, Indonesia. This journal follows COPE. Code of Conduct and Best Practices Guide for Journal Editor and Code of Conduct for Journal Publishers.
Tarbiya Islamica is committed to upholding the ethical standards of publications and taking all possible actions against publication malpractice. Authors who submitted papers to Tarbiya Islamica proved that their work was original and not published, and was not being considered for publication elsewhere. In addition, the authors confirm that their papers are their own; that it has not been copied or copied, in whole or in part, from other works; and that they have revealed actual or potential conflicts of interest with their work or the partial benefits associated with it.
TASK EDITORS
Decision on Article Publication
Editor in Chief Tarbiya Islamica is responsible for deciding which articles to submit to the journal to be published. The chief editor can be guided by the policies of the journal editorial board and subject to legal requirements such as defamation, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The Editor in Chief can negotiate with the editor or other reviewers in making this decision.
Review Script
The Editor in Chief must ensure that each manuscript is initially evaluated by an editor / co-editor, who can use the appropriate software to check the originality of the contents of the manuscript and after passing this test, the manuscript is forwarded to two referees for blind peer review, and each will make recommendations to publish manuscripts in their current form or to modify or reject the same. The review period will be from two weeks to one month (maximum of two months in exceptional circumstances).
Disclosure and conflict of interest
Unpublished material disclosed in the manuscript submitted may not be used by anyone who has views about the manuscript in his own research without the written consent of the author.
Fair game
Manuscripts must be evaluated solely based on their intellectual abilities regardless of the author's race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
Confidentiality
The editor in chief / editor and editorial staff may not disclose any information about the manuscript sent to anyone other than the appropriate author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisors, and publishers.
ASSIGNMENT REVIEWER
Speed
In the event that each reviewer feels that it is not possible for him to complete the review of the manuscript within the allotted time, the same must be communicated to the editor, so that the same thing can be sent to other reviewers.
Confidentiality
Information regarding the manuscript submitted by the author must be kept confidential and treated as special information.
Objectivity Standards
Reviews must be conducted objectively. There will be no personal criticism from the author. Reviewers must express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
Source Recognition
The reviewer must identify the relevant published work that has not been cited by the author. Any statement that has been previously reported elsewhere must be accompanied by a relevant quote. The reviewer must also ask the Editor in the Chief's attention for any substantial similarities or overlaps between the manuscripts considered and any other published papers for which they have personal knowledge.
Conflict of interest
Reviewers may not review manuscripts that have a conflict of interest as a result of competition, collaboration, or other relationships or connections with the authors, companies, or institutions connected with the paper.
WRITER'S ASSIGNMENT
Reporting Standards
The author of the original research report must present an accurate report of the work carried out as well as an objective discussion of its significance. The underlying data must be represented accurately in the paper. A paper must contain enough detail and references to allow others to replicate the work. False or intentionally inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable behavior.
Data Access and Retention
The author may be asked to provide raw data in connection with the paper for editorial review, and must be prepared to provide public access to it, if it can be done, and in any case be prepared to save the data for a reasonable time after publication.
Originality and Plagiarism
The author must ensure that they have written the original work in its entirety, and if the author has used the work and / or words of others this must be quoted or quoted properly.
Various Publications
An author may not generally publish manuscripts which basically describe the same research in more than one major journal or publication. Submitting the same text to more than one journal simultaneously is unethical and unacceptable publishing behavior.
Source Recognition
Proper recognition of the work of others must always be given. Authors must cite influential publications in determining the nature of the work reported.
Paper Essay
Authorship must be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, implementation, or interpretation of the research reported. All who have made significant contributions must be registered as co-authors. Where there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they must be recognized or registered as contributors.
Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
All writers must disclose in their manuscripts any other financial or substantive conflict of interest that might be interpreted to influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project must be disclosed.
Fundamental Mistakes in Published Works
When an author discovers significant errors or inaccuracies in his self-published work, it is the author's obligation to immediately notify the journal editor or publisher and work with the editor to retract or correct the paper. Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Institute of Islamic Studies Sultan Muhammad syafiuddin Sambas permits all forms of plagiarism. Plagiarism is considered a serious violation of scientific ethics by the entire scientific community. Plagiarism incidents in manuscripts or published papers, whether detected or reported, will be taken seriously.
