Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of teacher performance management at SMA Swasta Kapuas Pontianak, covering the stages of performance planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation, while also identifying the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting its implementation. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through classroom observations, interviews with the principal and teachers, and documentation of teacher performance planning and evaluation records. Data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that teacher performance management at SMA Swasta Kapuas Pontianak has generally been implemented effectively, particularly in the planning and implementation stages of teaching and learning activities. Performance planning has been conducted through the formulation of work targets and teaching assignments, while implementation is reflected in the execution of classroom instruction in accordance with teachers' professional responsibilities. Nevertheless, the evaluation process and continuous professional development remain suboptimal due to irregular academic supervision, limited opportunities for professional training, and the need to strengthen teacher motivation and work discipline. Therefore, strengthening the supervision system, expanding continuous professional development programs, and establishing a more structured performance evaluation system are essential to improve teacher professionalism and the overall quality of education.
