Archiving Policy
1. Digital Archiving and Preservation
Articles published in PrimEarly: Journal of Elementary Education and Early Childhood Studies are available through the Archives menu on the journal's official website and are organized by volume, issue, and year of publication. This archive provides readers with access to published articles and available journal issues in the fields of elementary education and early childhood education.
PrimEarly is committed to maintaining access to its published scholarly content and preserving the academic record. The journal will review and update its digital preservation arrangements to support the long-term accessibility and integrity of published articles.
At present, the journal does not claim to use a third-party long-term digital preservation service unless such a service has been activated and its archiving arrangements have been verified. Accordingly, articles available on the journal website may not yet be supported by an independent preservation mechanism to ensure continued access if the journal website or publisher ceases operation.
Information regarding digital preservation services, participating repositories, and the scope of archived content will be updated when the relevant arrangements have been implemented and verified.
2. Author Self-Archiving
PrimEarly: Journal of Elementary Education and Early Childhood Studies permits authors to deposit the published version of their articles (Version of Record) in institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories, or their personal websites without an embargo period, subject to the licensing terms applicable to each article.
The permitted version is the final published article available on the journal's official website. Authors must retain the article's content, bibliographic information, and applicable licensing statement in the deposited file.
Authors must also provide a complete citation to the published article and, where available, an active DOI link to the official version on the journal website. Self-archiving and subsequent reuse must comply with the license specified in the published article.
If the journal publishes a correction, expression of concern, update, or retraction notice relating to an archived article, authors are encouraged to update the information accompanying the deposited version and provide a link to the relevant official notice.
Self-archiving is intended to support the dissemination, discoverability, and accessibility of scholarly research in elementary education and early childhood education while maintaining appropriate attribution to the original publication.
3. Policy Review and Updates
PrimEarly may periodically review this policy to ensure that its archiving and self-archiving practices remain consistent with the journal's publishing arrangements, applicable licensing terms, and recognized scholarly publishing standards.
Any changes to the journal's digital preservation services or self-archiving permissions will be reflected in the policy published on the official journal website.
