PENAFSIRAN ‘IBĀDURRAH̩MĀN MENURUT ‘ABDURRAH̩MĀN AS-SA’DI TENTANG MAKNA TAWADHU’ PADA SURAH AL-FURQAN AYAT 63-67
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the interpretation of ‘Ibādurrah̩mān according to ‘Abdurrah̩mān As-Sa’di regarding the meaning of tawadhu’ in Surah Al-Qur'an Al-Furqan verses 63–67 and its relevance in modern life. This study aims to analyze the interpretation of ‘Ibādurraḥmān according to Abdurrahman As-Sa'di regarding the meaning of 'tawadhu' in Surah Al-Qur'an Al-Furqan verses 63–67 and its relevance in modern life. The research focuses on understanding the concept of 'tawadhu'' as the main character of 'Ibādurraḥmān' based on Tafsir As-Sa’di. The research method used is library research with a content analysis approach. Primary data is in the form of Tafsir As-Sa’di, while secondary data is obtained from books, journals, and other relevant scientific works. Data collection techniques were carried out through documentation and literature review, then analyzed systematically to obtain a comprehensive understanding. The results of the study indicate that according to As-Sa'di,'Ibādurrah̩mān are servants of Allah who possess the characteristic of humility, both in their relationships with Allah and fellow human beings. This humility is reflected in humility, calmness, politeness in responding to ignorance, perseverance in worship such as night prayers, and balance in social and economic life. In addition, they demonstrate high spiritual awareness through prayer, introspection, and commitment to Islamic moral and ethical values. The conclusion of this study confirms that the concept of 'humility' in As-Sa'di's interpretation perspective is not only spiritual but also applicable in everyday life. The values contained in the character of 'Ibādurrah̩mān are relevant as guidelines in building a Muslim personality that is balanced between the spiritual and social dimensions amidst the challenges of modern life.
