About the Journal

Syi’ar: Journal of Communication, Islamic Outreach, and Islamic Community Guidance and Counseling is an academic journal published twice a year, in June and December. The journal is owned by Universitas Sultan Muhammad Syafiuddin Sambas (UNISSAS) and managed by the Faculty of Islamic Studies (Fakultas Studi Islam), Universitas Sultan Muhammad Syafiuddin Sambas (UNISSAS), Indonesia. The print version of the journal was registered with the Indonesian ISSN Centre under P-ISSN 2615-3181, based on Decree No. 0005.26153181/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2018.02, dated February 21, 2018. The online version was registered under E-ISSN 2686-3227, based on Decree No. 0005.26863227/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2019.09, dated September 24, 2019. Syi’ar is an academic journal that focuses on current issues in communication, Islamic outreach, and Islamic community guidance and counseling. It provides a platform for researchers, academics, and practitioners to disseminate scholarly findings and contribute to the advancement of knowledge and professional practice in these fields. The journal welcomes manuscripts covering, but not limited to, the following topics: Communication Studies, Information and Communication Technology, Journalism, Media Studies, Public Relations, Communication Psychology and Counseling, Islamic Outreach and Community Development, Guidance and Counseling Studies. Through its interdisciplinary scope, Syi’ar aims to foster academic dialogue and publish relevant scholarly contributions to the development of communication, Islamic outreach, and guidance and counseling in Muslim communities and society at large.
