Accreditation

Articles published in Borneo Journal are available through the Archives menu on the journal website and are organized by volume, issue, and year of publication. This archive provides readers with access to all available issues.
Borneo Journal does not currently use a third-party long-term digital preservation service. Accordingly, articles stored on the journal website are not yet supported by an independent preservation mechanism to ensure continued access if the journal website or publisher ceases operation. Information on preservation services and the scope of archived content will be updated once a service has been activated and successful archiving has been verified.
Borneo Journal permits authors to deposit the published version of their articles (Version of Record) in institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories, or their personal websites without an embargo period. The permitted version is the final published article file available on the journal website.
Authors must retain the content, publication details, and licensing information in the deposited file and provide a complete citation and an active DOI link to the official version on the journal website. Self-archiving and subsequent reuse must comply with the license specified in the article.
If the journal publishes a correction, update, or retraction notice, authors are expected to update the information accompanying the deposited article and include a link to the official notice. Self-archiving supports the dissemination and accessibility of articles and complements the journal’s archiving efforts.
Borneo Journal aims to maintain access to its published articles through the journal website. Archived content will remain accessible for reference, citation, and scholarly use, subject to technical availability and applicable legal requirements.
The journal will make reasonable efforts to maintain the integrity of archived files and their associated bibliographic metadata. Where technical issues affect access to published content, the journal will take appropriate steps to restore access whenever possible.
Borneo Journal intends to evaluate suitable digital preservation services to strengthen the long-term availability and integrity of its published content. Potential arrangements may include recognized preservation networks or institutional repository services, depending on their availability and the journal’s eligibility.
Any preservation service adopted by the journal will be identified on the journal website after implementation has been confirmed. The journal will provide accurate information about the preservation service used and the content covered by the arrangement.
This Archiving Policy may be reviewed periodically to reflect changes in the journal’s digital infrastructure, preservation arrangements, licensing provisions, and publication practices.
Any substantive changes to the policy will be communicated through the journal website. The journal will strive to ensure that its archiving practices remain transparent and consistent with its commitment to the accessibility, integrity, and long-term preservation of scholarly publications.
