Archiving Policy

1. Digital Archiving and Preservation

Articles published in Tarbiya Islamica: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam are available through the Archives menu on the journal website and are organized by volume, issue, and year of publication. This archive provides readers with access to published articles in Islamic education and related fields, subject to the availability of the journal’s online records.

The journal is committed to maintaining the accessibility, integrity, and long-term availability of its published content. Digital archiving and preservation are important components of responsible scholarly publishing and help ensure that research remains accessible to authors, educators, researchers, students, and the wider academic community.

If no third-party preservation service is currently active: Tarbiya Islamica: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam does not currently use a verified third-party long-term digital preservation service. Accordingly, content stored on the journal website is not yet supported by an independent preservation mechanism designed to ensure continued access if the journal website or publisher ceases operation.

Information about preservation services and the scope of archived content will be updated once a service has been activated and successful archiving has been verified.

Where applicable, the journal may adopt recognized digital preservation services or systems, subject to their availability, eligibility requirements, and successful implementation. Any preservation service will be identified on the journal website once its use has been confirmed.

2. Author Self-Archiving

Tarbiya Islamica: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam permits authors to deposit the published version of their articles (Version of Record) in institutional repositories, disciplinary repositories, or their personal websites without an embargo period, subject to the licensing terms specified in the published article.

The permitted version is the final published article file available on the journal website. Authors must retain the article’s content, bibliographic information, and applicable licensing statement in the deposited file.

Authors are required to provide a complete citation to the published article and, where available, an active DOI link directing readers to the official version on the journal website. If the article does not have a DOI, authors should provide the official article URL.

Self-archiving and subsequent reuse must comply with the license specified in the article. Authors are responsible for ensuring that deposited copies preserve the applicable copyright and licensing information.

If the journal publishes a correction, update, expression of concern, or retraction notice, authors are encouraged to update the information accompanying the deposited article and include a link to the official notice. Deposited copies must not be presented in a way that conceals or misrepresents the article’s current publication status.

Author self-archiving supports the dissemination, discoverability, and accessibility of scholarly articles in Islamic education and related disciplines. It complements the journal’s archiving activities but does not replace the need for reliable long-term digital preservation.

3. Policy Review and Updates

Tarbiya Islamica: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam will review this policy periodically to ensure that it remains consistent with the journal’s publishing practices, applicable licensing terms, and developments in digital preservation.

Any changes to the journal’s archiving arrangements, preservation services, or self-archiving permissions will be communicated through the journal website.
